Software Development Service – Imagine you want to start building a house and for that budget requests two builders. The first, somewhat talkative, says using a new construction technology with which you can make your home in two months, you can start tomorrow and that will only cost you $ 50,000. This constructor claims to have quality personnel, which is technology used to make several works previously. The second constructor, calmer, says that the first thing to do is sit down with you to discuss what type of home you would like to build and then once you have transmitted to their requirements and needs, develop together an initial draft of what It intends to make for review. Once you approve this preliminary study, draw together the final draft and planned the time and cost of other work to do. This initial phase will cost $ 5,000.

Which of the builders you feel better? The first one wants to start building your home, do not have as much interest in, I will see … not to estimate the time it will take … Does not have any data transmitted over the concern on the part of your prospect, yet he dares to give an estimate. The second wants to understand you intend to build, it will create a model and then once you know what you need, it built using the appropriate methodology for planning costs and times.

software development

Obviously, the second offers a first phase which is essential for the project to succeed. The first thing is to understand what you need, before you do something that certainly did not meet its expectations. The latter is what happens in most application developments that are unsatisfactory after using lots of time and resources.

Our Service

We the second house builder in software  engineering development. We must be planned each of the phases and stages of development, as in any other project. This seems so logical and trivial, it is amazing and in most cases is not taken into account. If you want your project to be successful working with those using the appropriate methodology, and not with those who offer low cost without even raise a preliminary analysis. we added software engineering to develop your applications, contact us and we discuss all what your need.

Online Accounting Systems – One of the great advantages offered by remote access software is that the user downloads from the Internet, install it on your computer and access to a remote database, located in one data-center, the user feeds the data of your company or business. As the data is in Internet software to access them can also be downloaded from the Internet and installed on any computer, the user can access from anywhere in the world via the Internet, example of this type of software is the OpalSoft, and other programs such as A3Con A3 Software, it allows you to enter data from remote PC. Thus the introduction of notes is from the company and then, review and verification is carried out by consultants of the company from his office.

A problem common to accounting programs is the lack of compatibility of documents they create. That is, a company has an accounting package and want to generate a file containing the balance sheet, the newspaper or any other document and then read it from another program. This is usually done exporter requested file ASCII code, which is a text file where each field is separated (account number, balance, etc.) by a separator character makes. Then from the other program the file is imported, although often having to waste time adjusting formats. Or design a customized program to convert these formats. The problem is greater if we make a homogeneous database from balance sheets and income statements taken from the Internet. We will see that the information exists, but the data must be entered manually in a spreadsheet.

One way to solve this problem, is that programs incorporate accounting standard XML (eXtensible Markup Language) or more specifically the XFRML.

Everything starts from SGML, which is the Standard Generalized Markup Language (ISO 8879). It is the international standard for defining the structure and content of different types of electronic documents. Both the HTML which is the language that allows Web-design the pages as XML are abridged versions of SGML. HTML is good for Web pages but is too small to represent any documents, because it only cares to format the content of labels. XML is much more suitable for further processing by a database:

oneline accounting software

When choosing an accounting software for our company we must consider the seven steps below relate:

  1. Recognition

First we must educate ourselves in all the options that are available in the market. To do this, turn to various sources of information:

  • Colleagues in other companies
  • Newspapers
  • Internet, Our recommendation: Make a list of 10 options. And go to the second step.
  1. The time of the matrices

Now comes the long process, but ultimately ends up being the most satisfying generated. Make a list in Excel that includes the following columns:

  • Software name
  • Phone
  • Web page
  • Value (for my company)
  • Average implementation time (do not rely solely Seller: Use your friends and colleagues)
  • Features (this part of the list should be personalized and adapted to the specific needs)
  • Modules included
  • Platform
  • No need to buy additional licenses or computers?
  • Many users handled?
  • etc ??. (Insert here the specific needs: barcode, inventory, payroll, etc.)

Companies in which it is installed (with contact name .. ask that the software vendor: it will be the most useful point of this list)

  1. Remove the weaker options

Select a good accounting software package begins by removing packages that do not fit the reality of the organization.

Tip: leave here a list of 3-5 options. Max.

  1. Evaluation of suppliers

Regularly, the accounting software is distributed in two ways: by the parent, or by authorized dealers.

In both cases, it is important to know who is who answer for installation in your organization, what the support, and if they have staff to move or give us help when we need it. And surely we will need.

And the best test is to ask for an appointment to do a demonstration. With that they are “measured oil” to know what the post-sales support. If it takes one week to arrange an appointment, you can cross it off your list.

With this, certainly the list is getting smaller.

  1. The appointment with the “finalists”

Listen and let them do their show. This will include PowerPoint slides, live demonstrations and possibly installing a demo version.

And when you have the software installed, be aware that if he could do something with the software, does not necessarily mean that you can not do. It is normal to be confused, so this step requires patience. Ask, ask a lot.

  1. Now, call references

This is where you will interesting because collate what the seller promised to reality. And do not let the seller will escape without giving names of people who have installed software (although this had already covered in the section on arrays).

With the name and phone in your hands, call and ask the following questions:

  • How long have used the software XXX?
  • How much would slow to installation?
  • Can you name two things that seem bad? (Remember that good already said the seller)

If I had to choose again, what other options would involve? (This is a trick question ?? whether that is absolutely in love with the product, do not contemplate other options).

With hand on heart ?? This software do you recommend me?

Remember that with this information we will be able to distinguish between “good product / distributor Evil” versus “bad product / good dealer”. Or it may be that both are good, allowing you to continue to the next step.

  1. Take the final decision

If at the end of this process you have more than one option, to use his instinct. And keep in mind these three final considerations:

  • What is easier to use?
  • What you have the technology compatible with the company? ¨
  • What provides more reporting options?

If we can not decide we must remember that the real cost is not an accounting software licensing in value, but its implementation time and the time it takes in daily to incorporate into the processes of the organization. Following this process, the chances of error are reduced dramatically.

ASP (Application Service Provider) or PSA (Application Service Provider):

It is a company that provides software to third parties a form of rent. The customer is not the owner of the application, or must accept the responsibilities associated with their management and maintenance. Using a browser (browser) Internet or other lightweight software clients remotely access the equipment used within applications.

Acumatica Reviews – In the past, companies depend on the configuration of the internal IT infrastructure, they had to buy, build and maintain, either at home or expertly contracts outsourced support. All this builds on a costly waste of time and effort to be closely managed and protected.

The cloud based ERP such as SAP Business One On Demand offers companies an alternative option with many benefits, allowing them to build their business management system around a subscription to services on a cloud-based infrastructure shared via the Internet. With the many advantages over the use of the cloud through a series premise infrastructure technology companies worldwide, regardless of the size of the industry they are opting to go to the cloud. One of the main reasons for this increase in popularity has a lot to do with the three “C” – control, cost and customization.

Acumatica 1

By basing the IT infrastructure around a cloud-based system, a company can leverage the inherent experience of your hosting provider and permanent assistance. Compared to face manpower in IT and business skills, using a cloud-based service it means that your hosting provider takes over the workload and responsibility to ensure ongoing support and maintenance.

Hosting providers of cloud ERP are based on high-tech data centers high security service offering guaranteed uptime and highly reliable. Aspects of any cloud infrastructure that should be considered mandatory include expertise and skilled labor, network redundancy, backup power, maintenance and monitoring of data security, physical access security and high performance servers.

By going to the cloud, many costs associated with implementing a business planning system use are reduced or even eliminated. With much lower initial cost initial due to data servers acquisition and maintenance if necessary as well as lower ongoing costs thanks to less security, installation, maintenance and system upgrades needed to carry out at home.

ERP based on the cloud is more often than not based on a subscription model, allowing companies to have a clear vision of the project costs, either monthly or annually, the initial massive cost with potential hidden costs and extras on premise solution is reduced; these charges are pre – defined and predictable, allowing companies to plan and depends on a precise spending in the future management.

The maintenance charge is removed from internal IT staff, allowing them to focus on the system that produces a return on investment, there is no need to manage or troubleshoot updates.

The cloud based ERP allows updates, patches and updates that will run automatically, or as requested, and deals entirely by the hosting partner, which often have a higher level of familiarity with the infrastructure and installation of an in-house power equipment. SaaS cloud is easy to customize without the need to add hardware, software, or bandwidth, which allows the system to expand the company.

The three Cs cost, customization and control are making cloud-based ERP a serious option as a technological solution for many companies.

ERP Solution – What is ERP?

Enterprise resource production or planning (ERP Solution) is business management software—typically a suite of integrated applications—that a company can use to collect, store, manage and interpret data from many business activities, including:

  • Product planning, cost
  • Manufacturing or service delivery
  • Marketing and sales
  • Inventory management
  • Shipping and payment

ERP Solution provides an integrated view of core business processes, often in real-time, using common databases maintained by a database management system. ERP Solution systems track business resources—cash, raw materials, production capacity—and the status of business commitments: orders, purchase orders, and payroll. The applications that make up the system share data across the various departments (manufacturing, purchasing, sales, accounting, etc.) that provide the data. ERP Solution facilitates information flow between all business functions, and manages connections to outside stakeholders.

Acumatica vs Netsuite

Acumatica vs Netsuite

Acumatica vs NetSuite both offer cloud based ERP systems that can be accessed from virtually anywhere with a browser-based device. But how do they differ? Here are some other key differences between the two ERP systems, as well as some additional resources to look at:

Acumatica vs Netsuite - Acumatica Logo

Acumatica vs Netsuite – Acumatica Logo

Acumatica’s Project Accounting Suite manages budgeting, inventory, time sheets, billing, profitability, and reporting for individual business initiatives. It enables users to create projects that are included in company-wide financial reports. The suite features are integrated with the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales orders, purchase orders, inventory management, and the employee portal.

Acumatica vs Netsuite - Netsuite Logo

Acumatica vs Netsuite – Netsuite Logo

NetSuite’s Financial Management Suite accelerates financial visibility, provides strong expense management, offers streamlined and auditable revenue management and ensures complete real-time visibility into the financial performance of the business.  NetSuite financial management seamlessly integrates with all NetSuite order management, inventory, CRMand ecommerce functions to streamline critical business processes, such as quote-to-cash, enabling everyone to work from a single source of finance, sales and customer data.

ERP Deployment

A recent study cited that decision makers see the ability to choose how data is stored as a must-have feature of ERP. Unlike NetSuite, Acumatica offers organizations the choice of having their ERP system hosted with a hosting provider, in the Cloud (SaaS), or On-premise.

Even though Cloud deployment is a hot topic, there is not one type of deployment that is best for every company. With Acumatica, deployment can be chosen based on a company’s individual needs pertaining to security, expenses, and IT support. And don’t worry, you can switch back and forth between these deployment models without the costly migration.

Growth Friendly Pricing Model

Acumatica is not priced per user, meaning that everyone in the organization can be involved – allowing for full integration throughout the company and optimal ROI. With Acumatica, you will have a scalable ERP that grows with your business. NetSuite on the other hand, charges for each individual user – making operating your system more expensive and less efficient.

Acumatica vs NetSuite Comparison Resources

Comparison information for NetSuite and Acumatica:

After the seven match up categories above, it is safe to say that BOTH Acumatica vs Netsuite offer many features beneficial to a business accounting suite, but ultimately the choice must be down to the business and the specific needs that need to be met with the functionality of one or the other.

NetSuite commits customers to ongoing operational expenditures… forever! Acumatica allows you to switch licensing models as your needs change.  If you buy a license, you can stop maintenance payments and still use the software.

Acumatica allows you to switch between SaaS and an on-premise deployment so you control where you run your software and where your data is. NetSuite provides only one option – in their datacenter, under their control.

Both Netsuite vs Acumatica have integrated ERP and CRM modules. But Acumatica goes one step further by providing better options to integrate with existing on-premise systems. We can help you access the source code and make changes using Acumatica’s web-based tools or standard development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio.

Aside from all of the above, there are numerous other factors that go into a choosing which Cloud ERP option is right for your business so please let us help with any questions you may have. We’d be happy to get you more information or a quote!

Acumatica Cloud ERP

Cloud ERP software provider, Acumatica, is planning to be leading provider in cloud industry

Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill set a take-no-prisoners tone at the 2014 Acumatica Partner Summit, launching good-natured potshots at NetSuite and Sage in his opening keynote – before moving on to the estimated one million cloud ERP software prospects in Acumatica’s midmarket sights.

Citing NetSuite’s (one of cloud ERP software solutions) move upmarket, Roskill called on the 400+ partners in attendance to own what he called the ‘abandoned midmarket’. It’s all part of Roskill’s vision of how Acumatica will get to a billion dollar run rate:

Cloud ERP Software MarketAcumatica midmarket

Cloud ERP Software Market

To be fair, audacious goals are common at such partner gatherings, where the mix is equal parts education and motivational stump speeches. Looking back, much has changed in cloud ERP software industry since I attended last year’s partner summit and posted this Acumatica and the cloud ERP game of thrones wrap.

Start with the operational leadership: Roskill took over for former CEO Yury Larichev in March; CMO Stijn Hendrikse also moved on. Meantime, former SAP Business One sales and marketing manager Richard Duffy stepped into a VP of Partner Strategy and Enablement role at Acumatica. Duffy’s role is significant when you consider that Acumatica’s go-to-market is entirely dependent on its OEMs and VARs. With this team of leaderships, this will bring Acumatica into new position in the cloud ERP software market share.

Acumatica ERP is capitalizing on its partner-only sales focus. I spoke with a number of disaffected partner prospects who attended the Acumatica ERP Summit as they considered a shift from other cloud ERP software partner channels – channels where anecdotes of shoddy treatment would take an extended conversation and plenty of cold drinks to relay. Acumatica ERP finds this way as proven ways to penetrate in the cloud ERP software global market share.

These prospects were drawn to a model that put partners front and center, rather than the vulnerable position partners can find themselves in as ERP vendors scrounge for revenue during cloud transitions. We find this model very crucial to be remained exist in cloud ERP software industry.

Acumatica ERP is not uncertain about the cloud whatsoever. The same cannot be said of all its partners, though that is changing. With Acumatica ERP marking its 1,000 customer milestone during the event, there is clearly a market for the modern cloud ERP software approach Acumatica is betting its future on.

Just how big that market is remains to be seen – during his keynote, Roskill cited Acumatica’s 50+ percent growth rate as the fastest in the entire cloud ERP software industry, and by a wide margin. When you add in the infusion of funding from OEM partner MYOB, which deepened its relationship with Acumatica by becoming an investor and taking a seat on Acumatica’s board, Acumatica ERP is ready to move from upstart to broader recognition in cloud ERP software space.

But with every ERP vendor that knows how to spell the word ‘cloud’ offering some kind of cloud ERP solution, will the midmarket be as wide open as Roskill envisions? And will customers make the distinction between a true cloud solution versus the pseudo-makeovers and hosting models some vendors are pushing? I’ll review by breezing through news, strengths, and challenges.

Acumatica ERP news takeaways

There was enough news at the summit to make a beat reporter beg for mercy, but the gist is:Acumatica version 5.0 is coming, and peeps are excited about it. Now in beta, 5.0 should be out in General Availability by the end of the year, sporting nifty features like single sign on and business process wizards – not to mention an overhauled HTML5 UI that looks terrific. This new features bring Acumatica into another level in cloud ERP software solutions.

To my eyes, the most compelling feature of 5.0 is the mobile development framework, an HTML5 based toolkit that provides partners with an simpler way of building out iOS or Android apps. Objects can be created in C## without the need for iOS or Android developer expertise. This is a game changer in cloud ERP software solution industry.

Acumatica ERP pitched the mobile framework as being able to generate a mobile UI without extensive coding – a big perk for partners, many of whom don’t have internal development expertise (and if they do have such expertise, it’s in Microsoft tool flavors, not iOS and Android).

During the keynote, demos performed live by non-techies (including Roskill himself) showed off the look and feel of 5.0, including some mockups for name brands I can’t share here. But Acumatica ERP sent along some screen shots afterwards – here’s a sample:

Other Acumatica ERP  version 5.0 news of note included:

  • MySQL and Amazon RDS support
  • B2B order management and multi-warehouse allocation and purchasing
  • Microsoft Exchange Server integration
  • Acumatica’s first payroll module (now in beta)

Also important is the cloud xRP platform, announced in May, which opens up Acumatica’s platform for a market of 6 million .NET developers, while providing the basis for easier cloud-to-cloud integration. This new platform are very useful for other developers to take advantages best cloud ERP software platform to build their own vertical solutions in the market share.

Acumatica ERP’s strengths

Acumatica ERP has the strengths you would hope for in a modern cloud ERP software solution:

Great look and feel – the product is easy to navigate and partners swear by its demo impact. Jeffrey Noolan of JAMIS, an ISV partner that specializes in niche public sector solutions, told me that his prospects are ‘dazzled’ by the Acumatica demos – and: ‘When it comes to government contractors, they aren’t used to being dazzled.’

Robust cloud integration toolkit – Microsoft-savvy ISVs like JAAS Systems (Acumatica’s go-to cloud manufacturing solution) are skilled with tying into Acumatica for a seamless look and feel, but integrations are getting easier. Customers showed off a range of cloud-to-cloud integrations during the keynote, such as this AME Corporation ‘paperless’ document integration with Box, built by Acumatica partner SIPD:

Cloud ERP Software - Business Scenario

Cloud ERP Software – Business Scenario

One analyst found the demo of integration with Hubspot ‘amazingly easy.’ Integration went up another notch with demos from Azuqua, an ISV partner which essentially built a cloud services brokerage on the xRP platform. Hard-to-impress types like Frank Scavo said, ‘Integration services such as Azuqua are a must have, as no one just implements just one cloud application.’ Brian Sommer concurred – in his view, this cloud brokerage solution changes the competitive positionfor Acumatica.

Ease of pricing, deployment and consumption - Acumatica is multi-tenant at both the database and application layers, with options for deployment in Acumatica’s AWS cloud or via ‘private cloud’ on the customers’ own data center. Customers have some control over when they flip the switch on new functionality.

Web-based UIs make for an effective use of Acumatica on mobile devices. Companies with mobile workforces will be pleasantly surprised conducting ERP operations from the back of airplanes or wherever else a signal can be found. Pricing comes with a few subscription or upfront options, but the model is a (refreshing) unlimited user license, costed according to product consumption. This new model of pricing bring more competitiveness in cloud ERP software industry.

The market challenges

While cloud ERP adoption is on the rise, it’s not a simple thing to sell especially in cloud ERP software industry. During the analyst panel I appeared on, I asked the audience if they ever heard a customer say, ‘I need to get me some of that cloud ERP software.’ Only one said yes – CEO Jon Roskill.

Acumatica has to coach its partners to move away from pitching the cloud (which many are just getting a feel for to begin with), to convincingly selling Acumatica’s style of cloud – and the business benefits of a cloud ERP software solution that is easy to extend to customers and suppliers.

If customers are only thinking about saving on data center and patching chores, then hosted cloud ERP software solutions might have the edge. Acumatica’s partners must reframe that conversation by showing the possibilities of a ‘work anywhere, extend easily’ solution. Easier said than done – just getting a chance to make the pitch can be tough, given that today’s informed buyers do their own research and short list solutions based on advisors who may or may not have heard of Acumatica.

Several partners told me that the biggest challenge they have with Acumatica is functional completeness versus solutions that have many more years of development history, and are now being pitched as sexy ‘cloud’ products via hosted options.

Fortunately for Acumatica, customers seem more inclined to overlook functionality gaps than in years’ past, as long as the vendor in question can demonstrate the aggressive update cycles cloud solutions (should) excel at.

While Acumatica’s partners are not going to suffer from corporate neglect in cloud ERP software industry, they have their own set of bugaboos above and beyond selling Acumatica. The services industry is in the midst of major upheavals. Acumatica’s partners will need to do much more than sharpen their cloud ERP pitch.

Standing out from the services crowd means building differentiating applications. My best estimate is that 25 percent of Acumatica’s partners have that capability internally now, and if you limit that to only the VARs, the numbers go down.

The rules of marketing are changing also. To capture search results and win industry trust, services firms must become digital publishers – and that means sharing IP and pulling out subject expertise from overbooked consultants and packaging it somehow.

None of that is easy. Vertical expertise is another issue. One vertical partner told me that some partners have struggled to sell the vertical solutions many customers want – understandable if the partner is new to that domain. The vertical solutions will push Acumatica into new higher level in cloud ERP software solution industry.

But those challenges must be contrasted with what is surely one of the most appealing and easy to deploy/consume cloud ERP solutions on the market. I expect that momentum to build in 2015 with the 5.0 release.

The ‘Acumatica name recognition’ problem is starting to head into the rearview also. In a recent cloud ERP report from Computer Electronics, Acumatica’s customer count put it in the same general territory as FinancialForce, Plex, and Workday.

Each of those products is different – Acumatica is far more likely to run into NetSuite in a sales scenario. But that’s pretty darn good company. If Acumatica’s new leadership team can stay the course, I like their chances.

End note: yes, videos are coming – eight shoots in total with customers, executives, partners, and pundits. Look for a customer roundup video narrative once those are produced.

Disclosure: Acumatica ERP is a partner as of this writing. SAP, NetSuite, FinancialForce and Plex are premier partners as of this writing. Acumatica paid the bulk of my travel and hotel expenses for the partner summit. During the summit, I appeared on an analyst panel, for which I was compensated.
